Alstra, the commercial division of Concepcion Industrial Corp. (CIC), kicks of 2018 by co-presenting the 20th PhilConstruct HVAC/R Expo last January 6, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. In line with the expo’s theme “Future Ready,” Alstra Group Director Rajan Komarasu said Alstra takes control of the future today by introducing its streamlined end-to-end systems powered by global brands Carrier, Otis and Toshiba
The expo comes at a time when the Philippine construction industry is positive about the continued growth and increase of infrastructure projects. “Tourism and infrastructure development are on the rise, and residential areas will rise as well in support of new commercial districts. It's just a matter of patiently waiting and supporting those growing industries” said Raul Joseph Concepcion, chief executive officer of CIC.
In the face of rapid growth of the building sector, Alstra has touted sustainability as their business priority, emphasizing the need for buildings to adapt to the latest technologies that combine comfort with energy-efficiency. "Our factories focus on research and development, and we’re always looking for ways to save on power consumption and to be environmentally responsible,” said Rajan Komarasu, group director of Alstra. Komarasu noted that one of the technologies they’re focusing on developing is smart technology, which allows building operators to monitor the energy consumption of facilities to optimize a building’s overall performance.
During the opening day of the expo, Alstra held four side sessions focusing on conserving energy via new developments in air-conditioning and elevator technologies. Alstra’s experts shared best practices to save on operating expenses and energy, maintaining chilled water systems, and Alstra’s new vertical transport systems.
“We believe that change is vital for us to reach our collective potential,” Komarasu said during the opening ceremony of Alstra’s booth featuring their latest product innovations and solutions. “We are committed to constantly evolve and innovate our products and services to build better lives and trusted partnerships. We are committed to providing building solutions that are smart, safe, and sustainable. Through these talks, we hope to encourage more industry leaders to elevate sustainability in their business agenda.”
Alstra, which has officially transformed to provide end-to-end construction services backed with CIC’s over 5 decades of experience, is committed to provide smart and sustainable solutions. Its services range from planning and project management of new buildings, to installation, maintenance, and retrofitting. “We give our clients the total package, end to end, and with that they can focus on their business,” Concepcion said.
For two consecutive years, Alstra bagged the 2018 Champion for Best Booth award at the 20th HVAC/R Philconstruct Philippines trade show. PSVARE (Philippine Society of Ventilating, Air Conditioning & Refrigerating Engineers), the HVAC/R Philippines organizer, also recognized Alstra with a Platinum Award for years of unwavering support and dedication to the industry expo.
The Champion for Best Booth award commended Alstra’s innovative “Future-Ready” booth and the experiential product presentation it used. The Carrier XPower Super Plus full DC inverter, the Toshiba SMMS-7 VRF, and the Otis Arise elevator system were the booth’s hero products during the trade show.
